How should I start?

This should have been written some time back, but just left somewhere in the closet, being ignored or just sweeping it under the carpet. It is just something I feel now whenever I go down to Wheelock.

Being one of my favourite past time on my off days, I will always go down to see the peeps there. Since I left there 5 months back, I always try to find a valid excuse to go down there, a place I used to enjoy working. But somehow or rather, the atmosphere there is no longer the same as last time, somehow, this cloud of dejection, unhappiness and feelings of being lost lingers around. The people no longer laugh like before, no longer the same "Hi Welcome" with gusto, I see people dragging their weary feet to work.

You can say that I am being sensitive, but it is really so. And I see new faces like I see the cover girls of FHM, changing monthly. One thing is for sure, the nucleus is gone, that horde of chiongsters whom literally fight for their sales. The change in commission scheme did not really help to alleviate the situation. Market is bad, worldwide recession is sinking in, so it is unavoidable that the company will try their best to reduce costs. Have been a boss myself before, so I know what is it like. But having people whom are soulless will not really help in the situation.

Of course, I am sad to see some people leave, who doesn't when some of them are really the responsible type, those that take pride in their work and have a strong sense of ownership of their workplace. This are the people whom we don't see daily, our hiring department can always churn out some people from god-knows-where, but most of them are just salary takers, meaning their sense of belonging may not necessary be there. Are we gonna have this people around to bring the company to new heights? Or having the notion if this group cannot, then just get another group in, send emails out, post on jobsdb etc etc.

It really saddens me when this people whom are working there still do not appreciate what they have, or being spoilt. Hang around, wait for customers to call them telling them give me one, and standing around waiting for 9pm. And some of the older staff might not help when they frequently take mc, urgent leave etc etc. I know it is not easy especially when I am not there, but what examples are we setting to the juniors? If the juniors does the same, will we be in the right position to lecture them when in fact we are not better off then them? If we don't want people to behave like that, then we don't behave the same way too. I am made of flesh and blood, I get tired too, I leave the shop later then the rest of the staff, and I don't get paid for doing that.

How many times have I seen sales gone whilst doing paperwork, cashier, stocks etc etc when people like us in outskirt stores do not have the luxury of others helping us. Its all on us. Sometimes I just want to throw away all, walk out of the store and just leave the juniors to rot and die. But I can't, when this is my duty as someone senior to them to lead by example. I don't get any senior pay or have tons of OT to claim. End of day, I need to hit my figures too, I also have bills to pay, family to feed. But what irks me is people whom are at the top-store do not appreciate what they have or how fortunate they are to have a constant flow of customers streaming in. They just let the customers stream out of their shop, while they are busy whining about cannot hit target, no customer buying, why company this and that, not fair. But are we being fair to the company?

I have been stuck at Bugis for so long, and I know its not easy. But being a staff of Afor, I know the company will have their reasons for putting us there. Mind you, I have never taken a pay of over 2k, sometimes less then 1.5k. Who pities me? You? Or you still want to hang around at Wheelock whining and whining. Please, some of you don't know how lucky you are, have people to spoonfeed you, have customers waving to you to give me one. Appreciate what you have before it is being taken away from you. Stop grumbling about who snatch who's sales, be a man and try to get more sales. Question yourself why others do not want to give you the sales. Have some self-reflection. When you think of me, us being at shit locations, think twice before opening your gap to whine. For all of you who knows me, you think I deserve to be treated like this? I am human too, just that my Bosses will never see what I put into the shop, cos I do not have the figures as I am too busy with the back-end jobs.

Will those who are at Wheelock pay my bills and feed my family? No right, so please have some self-reflection. People treat you good, you take for granted, people take your luxury away, you whine. Stop being a wussy and grab whatever sales you have. Just think of us at Bugis before you start to complain. I hope you all really wake up your bloody ideas. I really miss the old times when our "hi welcomes" can be heard loud and clear even at coffee bean. Now, I only see zombies when I walk in, turnover rate so high, how to build-up that nucleus again. Its sad, really sad.

That's what I am, how come I just can't get to sleep this couple of days, either I sleep too much, or not enough.

Sales is bad this few days, so I guess that adds up to everything. And its taking me quite awhile to get my writing mood back, so this few days will be honing my skills again, its like some rusty knife trying to cut again. Since I realized my blog is missing, so I guess, its back to myself. Since base is where I was before I got lost, so now I am back.

Had some nice food at Zac cafe with my buddy Kelvin, the chef has changed, lucky for us the food is still nice. Some nice memories there too, though at times, sad, at times, confused. Letting go and picking up the pieces where I have left off is what I am slowly doing now. Wonder if I am cursed or blessed with good memory power. Anyway, hope sales is good tomorrow, won't be able to see wifey till Thursday, in the meantime, been repeating this song:

Wow,

This was how long I took to pen again, haha, after realizing that I have a missing blog, so I guess its here for now.

Really not sure where to start, but the thing is try not to be emo anymore. Have learned alot this past few months, that is to treasure the people around you. It is good also if the people around you does that too. Seen alot of ups and downs this past few months. Marriage and career too. Good thing is, things are turning better.

Had found out that we meet different people during different times of our lives. Some people are there to change your life, some people are there to make you treasure the people around you, whichever way it is, am glad to have nice peeps around me. Always blessed with them around. So as I focus on my career, am focusing on my marriage too.

Its never easy to be with someone for so long, but the duration is just a figure, it may not represent anything. Sometimes, we may be with someone for a short time, but its still significant. Someone did told me before, its the quality that matters. Once awhile, can still recall what she has shared with me. The days are gone, the memories linger. I think, we just have to do what is important on hand, before we can actually take another step forward. Really don't wish to end up a emo person. It sux.

So if I complain about people being emo, I must not be guilty of it too. It will actually spread to the peeps around us. So just to take the extra precaution, have to be cheerful during most times. We all wear masks don't we? Time to sleep, treat this as a warm up before the actual stuffs starts to come in.

Finally,
When its time to let go. It always signals the start of a new life, a new chapter. Maybe its true, time through the rain has set me free. Even the old man at home supports the idea, though it was not raised by me, just put on hold for a very long time. So there is no more pretending, just back to being the old Eric. Think this time round, can do things confidently, can focus more on career, and getting the best out of me.

At times, I realize that its the unhappy affairs of the heart that bogs me down in whatever I do. Never really able to give my best shot, so now there is no more excuses for me, just need some time to adjust. The old man at home knows best, been there done that. So now, without anything holding me back, I am sure I can live happily, at the very least, not longer needing to be the great pretender!

Really looking forward, but whatever I write might be taken out of context. Now I know, as long as I am answerable to myself, and feeling happy with the decisions I make, its enough. How many people can I answer to? How many people should I please? Hey, its my life, something that I overlooked for a very long time. Maybe to peeps reading, it might contain some anguish, but, I am not. So strange this feeling is, like a feeling of relief.

Now, what I can do is to move on, and see my wings unclipped. Will follow my heart, and give my all from now on. Anticipating whats in store for me, now and the future, like what someone advised before, most importantly is we are happy and thats all that matters. Another few hours more to go! Hahahaha.

If...
This is the word which is grossly overused, like sorry and excuse me. But there is always many twist to this word. I sound like a preacher, quote of the day?

Been down at the slumps with my job, cannot put the fault on the company which many people will do, maybe its, decision made and the heart is no longer there. Like sometimes when we were forced to be with someone, but jobs and feelings are different I guess, but I know some things cannot be force, and I have learnt to let go when the time is right. Many decisions were made this month, and its great to know that my Dad supported the decisions made too, maybe old people have a knack for certain issues. Its shitty at times when you know that certain things will lead us nowhere, so we must learn to move on, Dad knew how to use this quote and I am amazed and impressed.

Today is just one of the day I never see her. Why is there a yearning, the feeling not felt in a very long long time. And I know its one of the feelings that keeps the relationship going, very hard to explain unless you are going thru it yourself. Many things can have template replies, but certain things are felt rather then spoken. You know, how its like to step out of the shadows and stop pretending? No matter what, there will always be comments, but I will say it one last time, time will tell.

Like what the fortune teller mentioned, I always tend to hold back alot before making decisions, so now I know what its like to be selfish and for once, really want to be happy. No more pretending, no more masks, no more. Do you know what its like to just be myself? No one knows, they will like to judge me according to what they see. But its ok, at least my Dad was supportive of certain decisions which should have been made years back. Hmm, its time. I can see the happiness coming, really anticipating whats in store for me now.

Still unable to sleep.
Trying my best to doze off, and yet my futile attempt reaps nothing. Guess it was due to me dozing off in the evening after a heavy dinner of chicken rice, ngor heong. Woke up to answer a happy call, chatted alot, and msn too. Think she is the only one that reads my blog daily, so much to say to her.

So much racing thru my mind about work, guess its time I learn to let go, since I have already made my decision. It is really a pity, to think that I expected to much from the start, and yet things did not turn out the way it was supposed to be. Now I really have to make my decision, carefully. Anyway, will be having a talk with Steph tomorrow, so maybe I will make known my thoughts, or should I hold back. They say it is never easy stepping out of our comfort zone but what if I don't feel comfortable in my zone? It totally defeats the purpose of it all then, especially when I had to drag myself to work.

A sudden feeling of lost, though in my mind, I know that this is not the life, the job I want. Someone taught me recently, as long as we feel happy, nothing else matters. I am just someone whom actually hesitates at times, so I have decided to follow my heart, be selfish. I have enough of it all, always putting others before myself. Luckily, I had a crazy week, one which is fulfilling mentally and physically. The feeling is really just right, and I do hope it is mutual. Think she will say its for her to know for me to find out!

To her, she is not that vocal, but at least I can manage to read her like a book. It is never easy, always paying attention to details, comments etc etc. But when you decide to do something, it is all in the mind. A matter of want, our choice. It is like how I managed to quit smoking after 17 long years without any medical aid. Determination will make us achieve the strangest things. And I believe in fighting for our wants, like what she always said, metal-teeth, stubborn like a mule. But some things are done without scientific explanation, if the feel is good, it should be right.

We will never be able to please everyone, just like how people around us shoots comments, especially msn shoutouts which is absurd. Keyboard warriors, puiz. In their endless pursuit of "suaning", they can never really understand how the parties involved feels. Of course, people will always say the picture is clearer from outside the circle, but do we really care? Things happen for a reason, it is a chain of events leading to it, and I found out the more I try to push away, the closer I want to get. Strange isn't it? Is it human nature to conjure up tons of excuses? Or it is just my forte, having an explanation for everything.

For me, I am savoring every moment of it now, the sweetness flowing through me, and I can say the feeling is good, and mutual(hopefully). The positive vibes is really there, somehow, time stood still. Just like those music videos, the world moves on in a faster pace, and we stood still. Had a hard time bidding this project, and it is good to see the foundation being laid. We will never know whats coming tomorrow, so as the saying goes, treasure this moments for it might be our last.

Finally managed to muster up something after slacking. I do not write for the sake of writing, but for the sake of expressing myself articulately. Time to sleep, gotta wakey in 4 hours time.

Wo,
What a day. Slept at 2am last night, had to wake up @ 6am today, just to company my mom to the market. Rushed over to Telok Kurau, she was up since 430am. I was like WTH? So early? Think she is pretty excited about the party she is having later at her place.

Had to take my off in lieu so that I can help and entertain the guests. Think the main VIP is Mrs Wee, wife of the late President. Since she is staying nearby, its easy for the daughters to come with her. They just happened to be our family friend, since the early days when my Mom was still young.

I'll try to attach more photos of the party, and I really wish that I can blog diligently since I know some PEOPLE is actually reading. Hey, I'm just a simple guy, nothing spectacular about my life. However hard I try to make it interesting, I'm always saved by the peeps around me. They beautify my life really. Think the saddest news today is, I had to postpone my Japan trip, damn it. Some thing cocked-up that we had to get our deposit back.

Sad, but this week has been extraordinary for me, what is it? It is for me to know, for you to find out, have to take a break today to rejuvenate myself, if not Takuya will grow old! Before I leave, attached a nice pic of me and my handsome nephew:

Hand itchy!

Was stationed @ Vivo, then I recalled seeing a pair of nice boots at SnK. wanted to check out the price, NO INTENTION TO BUY! The meaty guy @ SnK told me to go over to IP.Zone, told me same boss. So I gave it another shot.

This young punk, apparently the in-charge of the store asked me to look around, and I found that black pair I wanted! Ha, guess what, it costs only $69.90! I was like OMFGWTFBBQ, and the best part is, if I purchased 2 pairs, I will be given a 30% discount!! I thought he was kidding me, ended up is real.

Boots is very comfy, and for $96 for 2 pairs, nothing much I can ask for! No budget for Red Wings leh, sob... $399.....

This was requested countless times yesterday after our fish-head steamboat @ Whampoa. I left out the photo-taking of the signboard, just know that its the hawker behind the wet market, people kept getting confused over which one this is. So when you enter car-park, its the first hawker on the left.

Received a call from Gary just as we reached Whampoa. was reporting in, as if he is my "wife" ne, maybe too long a journey from Kulai in his VW Tourag. He asked if we can go to Punggol Nasi Lemak @ Katong, but we forced him down. Haha, with Jane and Erika, omg! While waiting for him, this was what we were doing:

The dinner was great, a pity we arrived late, left "Batang" fish only, and the cleaner was busy trying to wash up. But Gary, Jane and Erika rushed all the way from Katong just to join us for dinner. Erika still sms-ed me when I told her we were in Whampoa "aiya, too bad you cannot have dinner with us", kept laughing after reading that. A pity the Fried Oyster was untouched, chilli was overwhelming for the rest. Let me see, who tabao the cheeken wings?

Since the market is closed, we settled on the inner hawker for some Teh before leaving. Had to thank Terry and Eve for fetching me @ Katong before dinner. The bus from Vivo to Katong was quite fun, world-class transportation system they call it. Now then, when can I prepare the dish below for the gang?

Why suddenly so active ne? Had a great weekend with the usual bunch, a big thanks to Thomas Tang for arranging a wonderful room for us, brothers has its privileges ya? And not forgetting the people that made the EVent a success!

As spoken with my Team this noon, whenever we have some great EVents, which normally is great, people will start to whine and whine, will try to stir some unhappy stuffs. As long as we did our part, we have great bonding sessions with our kakis and new members, I don't see any issues arising. Like what Ryan told me, some people are just unhappy they cannot be part of the group, so let it be.

The doors are always opened for people to come and go, just another passing phase in our life. So depending on our views, we don't enforce our beliefs unto others, rather to win over people with our sincerity. I do hope out kakis are enjoying every single moment of it, no matter where we go, its the people that made the venue fun, and its great to have new members like Erika joining us. And Thomas Lim for being there, sorry, was busy chasing skirt and neglected you, please forgive me.

In the meantime, I will try to blog at least every alternate day, so that in time to come, I can look back on how silly I can be at times. Might listen to Erika's advice and blog my forte. Had some nice dinner of Ipoh hor-fun, with Terry, Eve, and Thomas. So ad-hoc, Terry called me when he just turned into my car-park: "Hello, come down now, we want to pick you up for dinner", and just nice I finished cooking too. Since I still have some spare time, caught up with them to chill. Had a couple of Merlots, not too bad.

Now I will be very diligent and blog at least every 2 days! Heard from Leen there is money to earn from our craps. Haha, lets see:

Still fiddling with my blog template, kept adding songs, mind a complete lost. My boss popped-up at my booth today, said some things to encourage me, lucky its towards the end of the day. just talking extra, who doesn't know to hit target? I'm still new but not ignorant, so cut me some slack. Know what is expected of me, so there is not a need to tell me template stuffs.

Thats the price to pay for working under others. I know that she is giving advice, but just don't waste her time, mouth-power, everyone is good at that. 2nd period coming, do hope to hit my target and not disappoint myself. Give my best shot, I'm sure I can do it. Never give up, and think positive.

Anyway, 2nd rehearsal for our DnD sketch simply titled Amazing Spoof, my good friend will be dressed in drag, acting as my wife. Omg, are we able to pull this off? Hope so, can score some points infront of our bosses, newbies need to know that. Must maintain, this year I hope OPC gets 1st again.

I think,

Its always good to put thought into words, I just like to read it again later, to recap what was the feel that I had during that point of time. Just like how Rendell dig out this thread. I've always wanted to write a continuation again, but it took me so long, since this thread was written a month before our THD in 2006. Its never easy, especially when you want to immerse yourself into the words. And not write something for the sake of writing something.

I have a friend, a father of 2, he always tell me, not to waste my vocab, as he is very Hokkien, its hard for him to replicate his thoughts into words. He is also one of those that is constantly reminding me, not to use my ang mor to gun-down people, but to put it to good use, like writing essays, thoughts, emo-blogs etc etc. So I take with me his advise, and of course, the support of the lovely people around me, like from club-members to friends.

Just want to let you guys and gals know, though we don't get to catch up with each other daily, all of you are always in my heart, and even if we are meeting each other for a fleeting moment, on the streets, STOP, etc etc, this few minutes do mean alot to me too. To me, the best form of friends are not those that have to meet each other daily, but those that don't get to meet often due to personal commitments. When we do meet, the feeling is like, we just met yesterday, still can laugh and chat happily like nobody's business. I'm sure some of you know what that kind of feeling is like.

Till now, what I miss is STOP, and our fun moments there. I'm also just 8 numbers away, so if theres any help you can't get from me at STOP, don't feel shy to PM, MSN or call me. Our vanning community is very small, so must watch out for each other, and try to help if can. To Ah Heng, paiseh, you stay too far, if you want I meet you at your gallery hor, please PM me your number again as I've lost tons of phone numbers after servicing my mobile.

Should this be a continuation from the first? Or was there supposed to be any link at all? Guess it is still early to say, will leave it to the readers. Anyway, as to what Rendell has mentioned, it is about time I write my thoughts again.

Reading thru this post, it has been a long 2 years. From being a vanner driving Liteace, Hiace, and now back to our world-class transportation again. Some of you might knew, I have sold my Hiace. To be honest, I may seem nonchalant on the surface, when this decision was made, but deep in my heart, I cannot help but to have some emotional attachment to this metal tin-can of mine. I can still vividly remember the factory smell, removing the plastic, the sound of the SWD etc etc. And how I painstakingly mod it from stock to the current Pimp that I simply adore.

As I withdrew my partnership and embark on a new career, it is inevitable that the tanker has to go. My wife and I decided that the tanker will be a liability if we were to keep it. Thankfully enough, I managed to sell it to a friend, knowing that my tanker will still be plying our roads, only that I am no longer behind the wheel. Noting what Ryan told me "welcome to a world without installment, road-tax and insurance". I have never felt so free in a long time, to date, it has been a month of buses, trains, and the occasional cab rides. And not forgetting, so many friends who volunteer to ferry me.

These are the friends I got to know from EVC, including non-club members. Besides the memories of modding, roundings, GTGs, the bonus of it all, is getting to know my clique of friends. They are almost always there for me, be it in good or bad times. They never seek recognition for their help, never expecting me to reciprocate. This is what I call the most true of people, doing things with their heart, and these are the people I will hold on tightly too, I have to admit their positive attitude is every encouraging. And these are the people you can never find with the click of a search button.

Befittingly, I should name each and everyone out, like showing to the world, that we are happy in a clique, telling the whole world that we enjoy doing things together. But being the humble people they are, they will prefer to remain in the background. They are probably used to not-claiming credit for what they have done. From them, I have learnt how not to bring others down, just to make myself happy. To be honest, I used to take pride in making others look real bad, though tactfully done. But the malice is done, maybe mixing around with negative people will have negative vibes? Some words that were uttered, can never take it back.

Thanks to you guys and gals, my perspective has changed. I try to contain my emotions before I shoot my mouth off, or even a keyboard warrior. And I will refrain from indulging in sheer hypocrisy, or to make a mockery of others so that we can brag about it over dinner. Reaching the big 3 this year, do hope to acquire more wisdom in handling tacky situations, and learning how to be a better person.

For now, what I know is, when it is time to let go, we let go. To live life happily, thinking positively is my motto now. Come to think of it, I really enjoy the absence of my console box, cos now I can sit closer with my wife during bus rides. Without her support, and my friends', think I will not come this far. Came across Mikey Glover's interesting thread, added some to it. Brought a tear to myself, after so long of abstaining from posting here, cannot really hold back on this.

Anyway, if you were a school kid studying in Singapore before the late 90’s, you may remember some of the following.

1. You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget Ninja Turtles, My Little Pony and Smurfs too.
2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug. The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too.
3. You know what SBC stands for.
4. You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
5. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1 about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called Meoro Attack.
6. You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in secondary school.
7. SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loud BEEP! when pressed. There are colourful tickets for TIBS buses. The conductor will check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole in the ticket.
8. Envelopes given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children’s Day.
9. You’ve probably read Young Generation magazine.You know who’s Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable.
10. You were there when they first introduced MRT here. You went for the first ride with your
parents and you would kneel on the seat to see the scenery.
11. Movie tickets used to cost only $3.50.
12. Gals were fascinated by Strawberry Short Cake and Barbie Dolls.
13. You learn to laugh like The Count in Sesame Street .
14. You longed to buy tibits called Kaka (20 cents per pack), and Ding Dang (50 cents per box), that had a toy in it and it changes every week. Not forgetting the 15 cents animal crackers and the ring pop, where the lollipop is the diamond on the ring.

17. KFC used to be a high class restaurant that serve food in plates and let you use metal forks and knives.
18. The most vulgar thing you said was asshole and idiot and THE MOST EXTREME WAS ’super white’… you just couldn’t bring yourself to say the Hokkien relative.
19. Catching was the IN thing and twist was the magic word.
20. Your English workbooks was made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow.
21. CDIS was your bestfriend.
22. The only computer lessons in school involved funny pixelated characters in 16 colours walking about trying to teach you maths.
23. Waterbottles were slinged around your neck and is a must everywhere you go.
24. Boys loved to play soccer with small plastic balls in the basketball court.
25. Teng-teng, five stones, chapteh, hentam bola and zero point were all the rage with the girls and boys too…
26. Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the most important plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being the most important fish.
27. Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, eternalized in our minds from the textbooks. Even Mr Wally & Mr. Yakki. What abt Miss Lala? And Zaki and Tini in Malay Textbooks?
28. We carry out experiments of our own to get ourself badges for being a Young zoologist/Botanist etc.
29. Every Children’s day and National day you either get pins or pens with ‘Happy Children’s Day 1993′ or dumb files with ‘Happy National Day 1994′.
30. In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother.
31. We wear BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
32. Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
33. The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality.
34. You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained, and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes.
35. School dismissal time was normally around 1 pm.
36. There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday.
37. Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave you $3 or more for pocket money everyday.
38. You see Wee Kim Wee’s face in the school hall.
39. You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl.
40. Boys like to catch fighting spiders.
41. Collecting and battling erasers was a pastime for boys.
42. Autograph books were loaded with “Best Wishes”, “Forget Me Not”, and small poems like “Bird fly high, hard catch.Friend like you, hard to forget”.
43. Class monitors and prefects loved to say “You talk somemore, I write your name ah!”
44. There were at least 40 people in one class.
45. Large, colourful schoolbags were carried.
46. You brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable.
47. Participating in the annual school sports day where everyone is decked in different colored “house” t-shirts. And drinking from the mobile Milo van. (submitted by Sher)
48. How can one forget, 10cents could get you colored water drink and 40cents could get you a nasi lemak or mee rebus or even mee soup?(submitted by Samcheng)
49. How can I forget playing “Zero-point”, those made using rubberbands. its bloody iconic from people of our time (St Anthony’s Boy’s School ‘84-’90).
50. Missed out “Visonaries”, the ones that has a staff and chanted slogans with magic powers. And Macross, and not forgetting Ultraman on RTM1 or 2. And “Starcom”, the ones that has magnets on the feet. And “Centurions”, the one that has air sea and land for the different figures. How the hell was G.I. Joe missed out?
51. Playing “rubber” or “magnet”, where rubber, you need to topple it over you opponents to win it. Same goes for “Magnet”.

Well,

THD 2006 has come and gone,and never for one moment did I regret that moment when I put my name and my wife's into the list. For a start,its physically exhausting,but defintely mentally fulfilling. All I can think of was the children in need,though some people can say I'm overly optimistic,aren't I afraid of rejection? Of course I am,but if this thought keeps bugging me,it would be half a battle lost instead of won.

Reached West Mall,not knowing where to start,both me and my wife just walk around aimlessly,but have to thank the Philipino maid for "1st blood",starting the first $2 in my bag. And to Ben(Ah Chuan) for coming down at 1015am with a big bag of Delifrance pastry for me and my wife,how smart of Daniel to walk to my point,sensing food I guess. And to Ben Tay for bringing along your family,not forgetting kopi-O for me and green tea for my wife. And please help me to thank Irene for calling up your neighbours to spread the EVent,and buying from our West Mall team. not forgetting you "loaning" your darling Jolyn to help me garner some sympathy donations,it works!

Throughout the street-selling at West Mall,I've learnt one thing. Humility,and never to judge a book by its cover. Do not assume people who dresses down will not donate,and vice versa. My wife told me,to do it with an open heart,do frown upon rejection. Also learnt that you'll never know if you never ask. Its only a simple EVent,but there are many things to learn out of it.

Though not all people are positive towards charity events,but we do not persecute them to,cos we need to do it with an open heart,most importantly who is benefitting from it. If all of us were to start feeling negative,then I won't see any future in this type of EVents. I've finally realised after immersing myself into the EVent,why some of our guys can do it year in,year out without fail. And some of them turned-up,even though their names were not in the list. It touches my heart to see people there stand out and be counted,some whom I've not seen for a very long time.

What a great team I had at West Mall,none of them feeling dejected or negative,even approaching those in the queue whilst waiting for the ATM. That was a great one. And I thank the club for this EVent too,cos its been a long while since I've really seen my wife smiling so happily when she is all worn out,and its been a long time since I've actually spent so much time with her. Moral learnt was not to forget the people around us,no matter how busy we are,spare them a little of your time too.

I do hope to see more of our members being involved in THD2007.Its early to give your committment I know,but let us not forget EVC does not only stand for EuroVanClub,it also stands for Everyone's Van Club. Meaning to say things will not happen if we are not in it together. The committee is not Superheros,its the support from our newbies,frequent flyers to make the Club a successful one,and to make our EVents a fruitful one. So guys and gals,what are you waiting for? See you there on Tulip Hearts Day 2007.

Well,

Something got over me.Feel like expressing myself,quite long winded,but its my thoughts,and my blog!

Dear All,

Its been 5 years,since I’ve owned a van.From my trusty Liteace till my Current Hiace,in my heart I’m still a true-blue vanner. From the day I started,I really know nuts about van,only know how to turn on my ignition,engage and go. Heck,I don’t even know where my spare tyre is.

From the start,being solo,no such thing as forum or club came into my mind. Always thought that the fun is only reserved for those car clubs,not for our G family. But whilst driving,I do notice enthusiast like me on the road,but never had a chance to catch-up with them. But life changed when I was warming up my engine at Ang Mo Kio one night. A fellow Liteace driver got off his ride,came up to me and introduce himself as Roy,and I actually thought he was trying to find trouble with me,due to his size. He told me he has a group of friends,also Liteace enthusiast. We exchanged numbers and drove off. Still remember my wife (girlfriend during that time) commenting if Roy were to find trouble with me,I am no match.

Weeks passed,followed by months and Roy called me out of the blue one day,saying that they have a gathering at Fisherman’s Village,asked me to come along and meet-up with the rest. Called up my wife,she said why not and so we proceeded down after work. My am I dumbfounded,there really is a group of crazy buggers so dedicated to their rides! So from there on, inspired by SGVans,out came ClubLiteace. We had a forum,a club. And due to the influx of new vans,we renamed it AceVanatics,to accommodate the rest of the makes.

Still remember how I got to know Thomas,we were on the opposiste side of the road,both of us sending our queen to work,after that saw him parked outside Wheelock Place,and he asked me to drive further down to the car park upfront. From there,he started preaching to me about EuroVanClub. Oh boy,seeing this rebounded hair man speaking to me in Hokkien about something Euro,sure is refreshing. Cos some people might say,EuroVanClub only for eurovans,but I don’t carry this mentality with me. Our community is so small,why must we split here and there. Guess the purpose of having different clubs is easy moderating,and catering to different groups.

Though the time has come to close the AceVanatics forum,seeing people selling off their rides,changing rides,I guess the chapter of vanning has ended. But never did I realize that a new chapter is unfolding,after the invitation from Thomas and Lenny to hop on the EVC committee. As a provisional member previously,I was very hesitant at first,cos being overwhelmed by all Euro and me the solitary Jap van can have many resonance from the community. But without further ado,I think its still essential to contribute to this community. As newbies will always pop out,we need to be there to guide them,to teach them. I started from a newbie too,not knowing a single thing,going to workshops and accessory shops and being “chopped” by them,I really hope history will not repeat itself. And my first task is to do a write-up for Tulip Hearts Day 2006.

I have to admit,I was not very pleased with the task. Cos I was never a volunteer once,only know how to get people to buy tulips to support the cancer children. But whilst researching,I finally realized what the club is doing amidst all the fun they have. Besides the Tsunami event,and a host of natural disasters that Mother earth has unleashed upon us,EVC has always been there without fail,to assist in their own way. And the ones to benefit every year is Children’s Cancer Foundation.

I gone through our archives ,and saw what everyone has did for them. Members old and new being volunteers,by selling or logistics trying to garner as much donation as possible from the public,never once did they complain about what they are doing. Some of you might ask,are we trying to gain some publicity,is it worth it? Well,I am a believer now,and I know why I was given the daunting task. Cos the committee knows that I was never involved as a volunteer,so this is the way to get me immersed into the scenario. And I am proud to say,this year,I will be there,with my wife to repay something to the society. Its not as easy as it seems many will say, especially seeing past volunteers not getting involved yet. Maybe they were put off by the fracas surronding charity organizations. Or due to their personal commitments that this year they will not be there.

Is this a cry for help? Is this words from a pessimistic person? I don’t think so,cos I really need to voice out my thoughts pent-up inside my heart. I really miss those days when everyone stood out and be counted,being united in everything we do. No matter which club or forum you are from,your presence on 03rd of September will be deeply appreciated,not by EVC only,but also the sickly children and their needy families. They need you,they need us,they need whatever help they can get from a organization without major sponsors. Just a day,even if you can’t be a volunteer,be a donor. Get your friends,families down to Kallang and immerse yourself in the spirit of giving. As the saying goes,”Blessed are those who give unto others”.

So lets ask ourselves,where will you be this September.

Hair for Hope 2006 (Children's Cancer Foundation)

Moment has come,the day that my friends has waited eagerly,to do their part for the little ones.Turning up in droves at Suntec City on this beautiful Sunday,preparing to "bare" it all.Please do not be mistaken,its baring their head,they're gonna get shaved BALD!I was late,due to work commitments,so I did not witness the Execution time,anyway there is always technology to cover what is lacking.
What really surprised me was Ben(DreamzVannin,2nd from left),I received his MMS whilst i was doing my parking,and boy was I shocked.Words are beyond comprehension,cos he did not mouth to me that he is taking the cut,only told me that he has discussed with Irene,and what a shock i got.

Maybe its partly due to the fact that he is a father of 2 wonderful kids,so his perception is slightly different from the rest,he will know what it is like for kids to undergo pain and suffering.Of course,you might say that we were kids once,but that is a distant memory.For now,I think he is trying to do his part for them to,in his own way.Well,his dream of keeping his hair long is dashed,so i guess he really have to adapt to this GRUNGE look of his.

And if you see the EuroVanClub pic,bottom left 1st person is Wendy,yes,its a SHE.Really kudos to her for doing this,most of us will miss her ROGUE hair-do,but for our club,its another great achivement.A lady going bald for charity.Though she is just 1 amongst the rest of the ladies that took part today and the previous Sunday,i guess the memory of hre skinhead will be etched in our memory forever.

Of course,i can go on and on,but the appreciation will be felt for as long as they are bald,and it will be a sweet "Appetizer" before the next event in September,our Charity Drive-Thru,again in strong support of the Childrens Cancer Foundation.Maybe you should start asking yourself this,where will you be?.

Well well,

Getting old ya,purposely posted this on my birthday,well anyway blog is down at night.Went to this great Jap restaurant,been some time back since I've stepped into there,good thing it is still there,think at least been there 8 years back.So I've decided to have my simple birthday dinner there with my wife.

Shop is well known for their spicy Ramen,as in you can choose the level of spiciness that you want,ranging from 1 chilli,2,4,6,to 8 chilli which is the max.It is not for the faint-hearted,I can vouch for that since I'm brought up on a diet of belachan and chilli padi,but the soup is a killer,thick broth,a previous trip ended up seeing my friend Kenneth vomitting after finishing the soup,and ice-water.

For those who love Thai food,next door's Thai restaurant belongs to the same lady boss,so you can have a fair share of spicy food at the same time.Smokers will be happy to know that they do still offer smoking seats,cool enough with the dozens of fans.Rating of 4/5 stars.

Tulip Hearts Day 06'

Tulip Hearts Day is Children's Cancer Foundation's annual fundraising EVent to be held on 3rd September 2006.

In true Tulip Heart's Day tradition,volunteers will be out in unity islandwide,raising funds through the sales of more then 100,000 tulip flowers to create awareness of childhood cancer.To help raise further awareness among the public,and in the absence of major sponsors towards CCF,we will organise our THD2006 Drive-Thru for the 3rd year running.

In true EVC tradtition,we will be adopting the EVent 5th year in a row,in attempting to reach out to more kind-hearted donors.The purpose of the Drive-Thru is to make it more accessible to reach-out to donors whom might be driving past on the EVent day.We will have volunteers stationed at Kallang car-park for the sales of the tulips.Our road marshalls will be there to provide assistance for donors who will be attending it for the first time,and of course repeat donors who have been supporting this EVent for the past 3 years.If you were there for the EVent last year,you would have remembered what the volunteers have gone through,appealing to the public with our tulips,and anticipating every drivers that passes by will purchase at least one,for the benefit of the cancer-stricken children.Cos once we set out to assist CCF,rain or shine our volunteers will not be daunted,as it is for a fruitful cause.

Despite the fracas surronding charity foundations in recent years,EVC will be taking up the challenge again,unfazed by the negative feedbacks towards charity foundations.Our objective is to gather like-minded car clubs,and public to make this a meaningful GTG,purchasing tulips of which the donations goes towards the needy children.We sincerely hope like-minded people who wish to make this year's EVent a more successful one then the last can set aside an hour of your precious time on that Sunday to make a trip down to Kallang,to purchase the tulips from our volunteers,making it ours,and your day a truly fruitful and eventful day out of 365.See you there.

My Friday,so stressed out from work due to customer delay,cos need to rush home and bathe before going out with my wife.Ended up in town around 6pm,no dinner yet,had some beehoon before I left,and attempting to do a Beckham hairdo!LOL!
Shopped around in Tangs,then wife asked me to look for perfume,since the one she gave me is finishing.So I browsed around,till she chanced upon DKNY.Its uber cool,seeing the apple shaped bottle,we alomost ended up buying Ermedegildo Zegna,but no 100ml left.Was simply amazed by DKNY,due to my chronic nasal problem,I'm hyper-sensitive to smells,not too musky fragrance for me,something refreshing would be nice.In the end,my wife paid for it!$122 leh,so expensive.She said its a present for my birthday,felt so elated,best was the sales staff even threw in a free bag and lipgloss for us,and told us to pop-by to see her next time,can get somemore freebies.Maybe cos we kept talking to hre and made her day,haha.Not bad at all.Examples of nice fragrance for Man:

1.Gucci Envy for Woman:Green colored,though its for woman,but its very uni-sexual.
2.Estee Lauder,Pleasure for Man:Smooth,lasting on the body,even after sweating.

Ended up with growling stomach and tired feet,decided to pop by Takashimaya for dinner.This restaurant at B2,right at the end of the food court is very cosy,and the waitress actually dresses up like milkmaids,very cool.Their signature dish is their curry katsu don,damage at $17.00,very thick and smooth curry.Non-spicy,and their teriyaki sandwich,$3 a piece.Will not say its cheap,but 1 of the more long standing shops at the corner,cos I've seen the rest come and go.Do give it a try,they do serve wine and beer too.For small groups is ok,not for entertaining big groups like 20 or more.

Finally,the 2nd installment of this successful movie!How can anyone forget Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).Incidentally,this is the only movie that Depp has acted twice in.A continuation from Part 1 (The Black Pearl),don't worry mates,its the intro which is linked,but the story is new.With the original cast back on board (yes,Orlando Bloom),and my favourite dish Keira Knightley,it was action all the way.

Thanks to Depp's impecable potrayal as Capt Jack,the whole cruise was pure enjoyment.I shall not divulge the plot,and i was glad to attend the sneak preview.But if you read the papers,you would know that there will be a 3rd installment of this hugely popular movie (Walt Disney Studios,oh my god!)

September,

A month which is marked on our calendar ever since we undertook the promise to help 5 years ago.Alot of you might ask,why is this month so important,if it is not to you,it is to the kids of the Children's Cancer Foundation.From the tradition carried on from VW Caddy Club till our current EuroVanClub,it is an appeal that we keep repeating year in,year out.Those of you involved might remember,the postition we were in when we signed up to be volunteers,handling street-selling.Donning on my CCF t-shirt,it did not seem pretty daunting till I approached a stranger attempting to sell a pin to them.Questions was thrown,answers was given.Now,it started to dawn on me what we were facing on this day.

Almost demoralised,thinking of the horrors of returning to base with my full-stack of pins,facing the disappointment written over the faces of the staffs at CCF,in stood Daniel.I will never forget him telling me "its half a battle won,not half a battle lost".Daniel reminded me to be optimistic.As long as we are still out on the streets,there is still hope.

Hope!That is what I lack,but that is also what the staff,the children,their family is holding on too!Seeing the other volunteers,the family of the cancer-stricken children out on the streets holding on to their hope,their believe,it made me work doubly hard to achieve what we set-out for.
Though I returned to base with a quarter bag of pins left unsold,the experience really opened-up my eyes to think how fortunate we are,to be safe and well from sickness,and began to appreciate the people around me all.Amidst all the fun,the joy we have,we might have overlooked some needy people along the way.And this should not go on,we need to reflect,to brainstorm how we could help them more,hence the Drive-Thru idea came into the picture.

Based on our resources,advantage of being mobile,the committee have decided to plan a Drive-Thru,inspired by the success of a certain fastfood chain.Since getting volunteers on the street is tougher,why not get people to come to us?By making the donation event more centralised,more accesible,we believe that we will acheive more then what we did this year,hoping that the donors will be enticed by this kind of Drive-Thru event,which will be wholely embraced by EVC for the following years.
The turn-out for last year was the best we had,attracting a host of automative clubs from Vios,Lancer,Honda and the list goes on.Responding to our appeal for help,and undaunted by the rain,drivers still came in full-force.As usual,Daniel told us not to give-up,even though the weather was not accomadating.And all of us perserve till the end of the event.And the hardwork and effort from everyone involved paid-off.

On 3 September 06,Sunday,volunteers will be selling Tulip Hearts Day hand-made tulips island wide at S$2.00 each to raise funds and create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore.As you know, EVC is participating,we need the support from every members in our club/forum for this meaningful event.And the help from the other clubs/forums is essential again this year,though we have decided to approached non-automative clubs/forums this year,in the hope to boost the sales of the tulips

We understand that some might not feel comfortable in asking for donation in public but there is always other ways to help. By joining us in our gathering at Kallang and buying the tulips at your own will is already a great help to us. Even if you are committed to other things on that day, you are always welcome to do a drive-thru donation.Giving up that 5mins of your time in return for the smile of the innocent ones and their families,it really is worthwhile

Our Drive-Thrus,proven successful,even with the minor support and funding that we have,everyone tried to play a part in making the it a memorable part of our life,even for a day.Seeing the preparation,the set-up,the logistics,it makes me wonder where will the children be without our help.Lets not forget the children that we once was.If by dedicating that 5mins of your time in return knowing that somebody is actually benefiting from it,your September will never be the same again.

Lets start asking ourselves,where will we be this September.

Finally,my wife's off-day.Don't think she rested much,wanted to iron the clothes,but the iron popped.Since we need to have our dinner out,so i suggestted we proceed to Fish & Co at Suntec City.

The appetizer really rocks,shrimp with pasta,and alfafa sprouts,lettuce,baby tomatoes.Really for the health-conscious.Fish and prawns was fresh,very generous proportions.

It seems,its no longer a boring job to be a cab-driver.Besides the highway patrol,the respective companies are launching their new fleet of cabs using the Subaru WRX,premium,not STi version.

Apparently,many letters written to the Straits Times forum are heavy with complaints about the service,the speed etc etc.So doing away with their old Toyota Crowns,the y are spicing up their industry.Benefits differnt from the highway patrol team is:

1.)You get to pick up chicks as your fares,instead of issuing summons to those pretty chicks,instead of a middle-finger and cursing of your family,you get a sweet "xie xie".

2.)Instead of patrolling the lonely highways with a colleague of the same sex,you get to hang around nightspots,red-light districts,shopping areas.Eye-candy is defintely a plus-point in this line.

3.)Making Stuggart's cream of the crop Mercedes look second-fiddle to your souped-up ride,at least another competition on the road.Complaints about late arrival will defintely be minimised,another plus-point

A Samday Afternoon

Well well,

Finally met up again,quite a last minute meet-up,with Sam and Rachel at SLS(again) cos Rachel needs to buy some speakers,so there we are,accompanying the TRAMP.Sam was supposed to buy it too,$35 for a 2.1,dirt-cheap.And where was Anto?Sleeping!!He buayaed till early morning,I predicted that he will wake at 5pm,and he really did!

So we carried on our activites,had my lunch,should say our lunch at Sunshine Plaza,thanks to Kelvin's recommendation,I brought them there.A pity that Sam found it too sweet,but he finished it all anyway,and he ordered extra wanton!Fuah,he can really eat,you see his giddy face when hungry,really wanna smack him.While eating,he was pondering if he wanna do a new set-up,in the end ATM(u might think it stands for automated teller machine,in fact ATM stands for Anto Touch Milkmaid!) told him bo lui liao,haha,but Rach was hatching an evil plan for the both of us.

She suggested that we go Bitch Road,since we're nearby,they were horrified by Burlington's parking charges,$5.30 for 1hr plus,nabei,but I was really hesitant on going there,CD shop,many rare cds which are out of print.At there,I found Fei Ying,Li Fei Hui,Xiao Hu Dui,Tracy Huang etc etc.Damage?$79.80!The biatch kept laffing and laffing,cos Sam also bought some cds,DAMAGE AGAIN!We quickly left the building,don't want further damage,and proceeded to Bitch Road market for some kick-ass Teh Peng..

Last minute arrangement with Sam and Anto,they were at SLS,Anto trying to make up a super PC,with Sam's help.And Kelvin was with me the whole day when I was working,since he was so free.Instead of Hougang this weekend,its CHONGPANG!

Found out that we have similarities,Anto and Sam were friends since schooldays,which Kelvin was to me also.Sam wears cap,so does Kelvin.Anto was older then Sam,and I am older then Kelvin.LAWL!The session was great,all of us got so much to talk about,and I'm glad we met-up,cos I wanted my buddy to meet my new found friends,whom I know will end up becoming our buddies too.

Its glad to know that from #studio,instead of pure cock-talking session over the net,I actually managed to made some friends.They are the 2nd and 3rd person I've met,1st was XW,but that was a chope chope session,hope he will join us the next time.

Met up with Sam at his place today,cos we were waiting for Anto,he couldn't leave the house till his Dad comes back,what a filial son he is.So spent some time at Sam's place.Made me bloody drool over his monstrous PC,6 hdd and 7 fans and some pretty neonlights.OMFG,but his PC room does resemble those SLS repair shop,so many spare parts.Guess next time can just pay his house a visit instead of SLS?And furthermore,so many Buddha and Thai monks statues,made me drool more.

Ok,time to call Anto,if I stay any longer at Sam's place,will just chop his neck and run off with his PC,and LCD.When he called up Anto,he was so steamy...Not sure what was he doing.So we proceeded to his place,and he asked us to wait for 30mins when we reached his block!!Then we went over 505 to eat,so bloody far they stay,Yishun and 38wang.Nice pot noodles while waiting for Anto,after that we just chill out till they made their way to Pasir Ris to pick up Sam's brother.And I slowly made my way back home...SLE--->BKE--->PIE...Before that,actually "tabao" a Kopi-O,cos I know I will feel sleepy.See ya guys soon yeah?

The Life and Times of Chow Yun-Fat
Chow Yun-Fat was born on the 18th of May in 1955, on the small island of Lamma off of Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour. His family moved to Hong Kong itself in 1965. Chow Yun-Fat identifies two childhood influences on his dramatic life: the Cantonese Opera, at yearly festivals in honour of the Goddess of the Sea, and American movies, under the patronage of one of his mother's employers.

CYF's break into showbiz occured in 1973, when he answered a newspaper ad for young actors by TVB (the Hong Kong TV station controlled by the legendary Shaw Brothers). He was accepted and enrolled in their actor's training programme, along with real life buddy Ringo Lam. Under TVB's aegis, CYF performed in several soap operas.

A list of CYF's shows with TVB, the television studio which provided Chow Yun-Fat with his training and with early success and glory, is given on my separate Chow Yun-Fat: God of the Tube page. This page goes into some detail about the plot & casting, and contains a few hilarious pix of CYF in the 1970s and early 1980s.

An early TV star in series like Hotel, in the early 1980s CYF won lasting popularity and fame as the ultra-cool gangster Hui Man-Keung, in the TVB series Shanghai Beach (a.k.a. Shanghai Grand, a.k.a. The Bund). According to one description, the streets of Shanghai emptied during the broadcasts of this series, which has since been re-made many times.

CYF played a lead role in a movie as early as 1976, in the coyly-named film Massage Girls. His first critical success as an actor, however, was only five years later, in the 1981 film The Story of Woo Viet, directed by Ann Hui On-Wah. This dramatic success was followed by a period of personal and occupational uncertainty: CYF's flicks in the early 1980s were on the whole poorly-received by critics and movie-goers alike. At around this time, Chow Yun-Fat also experienced a number of personal problems, and a short-lived, tumultuous marriage with Candice Yu On-On, a television star from TVB's rival (now ATV).

His turnaround began in the mid-1980s. In 1985, he received a Golden Horse (Best Actor) from Taiwan, and another Best Actor from the Asian Pacific Film Festival for his performance in director Leung Po-Chi's marvelous movie Hong Kong 1941. But this success was soon overshadowed by another, even more dramatic. In 1986 the little-known director John Woo, best known for his slapstick kung fu comedies (like Plain Jane to the Rescue), cast CYF as Mark Gor in the gangster movie A Better Tomorrow. The film was wildly successful, propelling both Woo and Chow into the limelight of the action-movie genre.

By 1995, when he filmed his last of Hong Kong movies, Peace Hotel, Chow had appeared in an amazing 71 movies. His plethora of awards from this period includes Best Actor twice from Taiwan (1985, for Hong Kong 1941, and 1987, for An Autumn's Tale), and three times from Hong Kong (1987, for A Better Tomorrow; 1988, for City on Fire, and 1990, for All about Ah Long). Ironically, in the West Chow's success as an action star, and his association with Woo (known to Westerners only for his action movies) have now virtually overshadowed Chow Yun-Fat's dramatic and comedic abilities. Some Western fans of A Better Tomorrow and Hardboiled will be surprised to experience CYF's virtuousity in drama and comedy roles.

Chow Yun-Fat is known and admired by fans all over the world: not just in Hong Kong and North America, but all over Asia and Europe as well. In fact, I received mail one year chiding me for not mentioning these other fans, and informing me that CYF was titled the best movie gunslinger in Japan, at some point. (According to ChinaStar, CYF won the 30th Best Actor Award in the Asia Film Show, and the Best Outstanding Actor Award of Asia from America Film Association and Korea.)

Chow Yun-Fat now commutes between the United States and Hong Kong, along with his wife, Jasmine.

Yup,
Its Heineken time,I mean Tiesto time.Thanks to the invite from my dear friend Lenny (in glasses),we managed to see the Master in action.Stupid MOS was packed to the brim,but not much rubbing of flesh with the other sex.Most of us were high before going in (except Lenny who was driving),so I undertook the task of being a responsible driver and took a cab down.Tiesto was not as hot as how he played in the other countries,abit tame.Maybe he knew that Singaporean was conservative,so I left before he completed his gig.Heard from Lenny he played "Love Comes Again" before he ended and the crowd went wild.
Did you know that Lenny actually brought those light sticks??He was so "On",and everyone was deeply impressed.See that smile on his face,teeth shining.But Edmund brought his girl along,so no chick hunting for him,hahahaha..

What is type 200 Hiace

Many people might think what is Hiace,or what is type 200.Its hard to describe in words,just that its a 2.5litres turbo-charged mean machine.Most importantly its MADE IN JAPAN!Yes,a van made in Japan,and a Vios or Altis or Fortuner or Yaris!!
But at its launch,alot of people find it odd-shaped,boxy,squarish.But I say its an accquired liking.The more you see,the more you love it.And those people who actually found it odd,are actually driving it now (you know who you are).Its similiar to driving a MPV,and yet is actually performs much better then some of the cars in the market.

Some people might ask,why fork out $44,000 for a van,when you can buy a car.To me,its driving a MPV (Multi Purpose Van) or SUV (Sports Utility Van),for our business,and for recreation.But the bonding of vanners is quite strong,some of them are willing to spend a fortune dressing up their rides,which even some car drivers would not be willing to spend.

So before I start to offend those car drivers who crawl up Sheares Bridge while we whizz them by,will load a few pics of the type200 for your viewing pleasure.

Though this album is more commercialised then his previous works (need money I think),people are still searching for his old works.But due to his offensive contents in his songs,you can;t get his albums in Singapore,cos we are still so conservative.I mean,you can sell Eminen and 50cents,why not him?

Konnichiwa!

Finally,a blog for our die-hard and hardcore vanning group.It was at the spur of moment after speaking with Alan,ex-100,soon to be 2oo member.After 2 forums,clubs,we finally have our domain again.

After so many years,and change of vans,Liteace and Hiace,most of us are still in contact(thankfully),and some have progressed on to cars(good for them),but their contributions in the past is still remembered.Cos we got to know each other through vanning,and became friends through bonding (sounds like a poem).
